The KWiSE NY/NJ social gathering was held on March 4, 2017 at New York City.  We welcomed Dr. Ah-Hyung Alissa Park (Chemical Eng., Columbia University) as a new member, and reconnected with our existing members.  At her first meeting, Dr. Park delivered a delightful talk regarding “successful women in the academic profession.” Her talk was well received by especially, young researchers who are designing their careers as a science faculty.

Later, a special KWiSE NY/NJ member, Dr. Yun H. Choe (Scientific Advisor, Patent Agent, Lucas & Mercanti, LLP) joined the meeting and gave a very informative talk about the procedure of patent application.

Again, the gathering was a wonderful opportunity for our KWiSE family here in New York/New Jersey to come together for half day of renewed friendships, fun, learning and encouragement.
