Mentoring is a strategy through which one person facilitates the development of another by sharing expertise, experience, perspectives, attitudes and values.  The 2016 KWiSE SD (San Diego) Mentoring Program is designed to assist Korean-American Women in Science and Engineering to accelerate professional development, leadership capabilities and achieve career success both within their institute and within the scientific community. Mentoring is an opportunity to develop a professional relationship with a trusted individual who will impart clear and constructive feedback.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR MENTEES

  • Applicants must be a KWiSE SD member
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willing to participate and engage in mentoring relationship
  • Open to feedback
  • Motivated to grow professionally
  • Able to commit 2-4 hours per month over 2016
