KWISE-WISET hosted the success of the inaugural event 2023 STEM Career Talk Concert – Artificial Intelligence, with over 100 attendees. The event brought together esteemed speakers and a diverse audience to delve into the world of AI.

Speakers:

Ms. Hannah Krause-Camp: A data scientist from Microsoft, Ms. Krause-Camp shared her inspiring journey in the field of AI and provided valuable insights into the potential AI offers in various domains.

Professor Dan. Kim (Univ. of North Texas): Professor Kim shed light on the ethical aspects of AI, focusing on security and privacy concerns. He explored the importance of considering the broader implications of AI autonomy and discussed the role of AI in shaping our future.

Dr. Bonggun Shin (CEO, Deargen USA): Dr. Shin captivated the audience with his groundbreaking research journey in deep learning models and drug discovery. His achievements in identifying COVID-19 drugs and obtaining FDA approval were truly commendable, and he emphasized the significance of interdisciplinary collaboration in AI development.

Professor Hyeokhyen Kwon(Emory University): Professor Kwon shared his passion for computer vision and AI’s potential in biomedical research, especially in early-stage Alzheimer’s disease detection. He highlighted the opportunities for AI engineers to make a positive impact using the vast data resources available at Emory.
