Greetings!

It’s been awhile.. A lot has happened.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy!

We had a brief meeting on February 25th, 2021 at noon. It was a virtual, introductory meeting.

And on Wednesday, March 17th, we held the first official KWiSE-TX meeting!

First 20 minutes of the meeting, we discussed what motivates us to keep going while working in research. The lively discussion was led by Drs. Yangjin Bae (BCM) and Sunja Kim (TAMU).

Then we had the first contestant for the KWiSE-TX Young Scientist & Engineer Award!

Dr. Yunju Yang from UT Health presented her work titled Identification of Functional Genomic Variants for Brain Aging to Fight Ageism.

For those who attended the first meeting, e-gift cards were sent!

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, April 21st at noon. Meeting info will be shared when available!
